Dear Principals& Technology Chairs;
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all district staff for their professionalism and cooperation in maintaining district technology. This has been a very challenging and yet wonderfully inspiring year. Budgets have never been tighter nor our vision for change more urgent. More importantly our school culture is changing as each of us is charged with becoming more autonomous with the technology our positions demand and more self directed in the professional development we need.
This week the Board of Education approved the proposed budget for next year. I recommend that school technology committees use an RFP12 budget equal to last year adjust for 2009-2010 enrollment. If I get additional information impacting the projected budget I will post an update here. I am also developing an updated recommended hardware reference document to aid your planning. I will post that on this web page when ready. Please contact me via email with any questions.
