| Welcome to the Ithaca City School District Regular Education Compensatory Academic Intervention Services (REC/AIS)page. Our job is to provide interventions to students in the district, based in Restorative Practices, the Response to Intervention (RtI) model, Title I / PCEN Guidelines from New York State Education Department, and State and Local Assessments. We also strive to accelerate students who arrive at school with limited academic experiences. One way we do this is by building earliest interventions into the student's school day. This office oversees the progam services in all 12 buildings for support to English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, through Regular Education Compensatory Academic Intervention Servcies / RECAIS; English Language Learners (ELL, ESL, ESOL); Students with Interrupted Formal Educations (SIFE), and Family School Support (Family Liaisons). |
