Professional development and Curriculum are priority elements in the ICSD Equity Strategic Plan. View Professional Development Element of the ICSD Equity Strategic Plan. Impact and Evaluation

Staff development is evaluated at five levels of impact based on the work of Thomas Guskey: participant reaction (1), participant learning (2), organizational change (3), participant change (4), student learning (5). Every professional development learning experience has a target level of evaluation. These may be viewed in the implementation section of the Professional Development Plan.

Impact reports are generated annually and involve extensive self study and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data as well as a review of the accomplishments in each year. (Lately, there have been file size problems with the impact reports--we are working on it.)

Additional Professional Development Particiation Requirements for Teachers

All teachers in grades 3-10 (English, math, social studies, science, and languages other than English) should be enrolled or have completed a complete course on diversified instruction. Please contact our office if you are unsure whether you have completed this requirement. Diversified instruction training accompanies the content mapping initiative for core subjects.
