Town of Caroline - Local History Project
Did you know that if you are going anywhere in the Town of Caroline in 1997, you are most likely to be traveling on routes first used long, long ago? Caroline travelers over the years have used:
![]()
pathways first traveled by Iroquois warriors in early centuries
![]()
roadways first used by pioneers as they were traveling to our area on horseback, or in a wagon pulled by oxen
![]()
railways first used by horse-drawn and steam-driven trains
![]()
modern roadways now used by cars and buses
Students in Mrs. Cole's and Mrs. Kimberly's Grade Four Classes prepared the information for this web site. They used resources from the Reference List. They have demonstrated their awareness of change as part of the NYS Social Studies Standards.
Any trip in the Town of Caroline is really a trip into history! Do you want to travel with us? Click on one of the underlined words to begin your trip.
