This map was created using a Google Earth satellite photograph.

The yellow lines represent the country borders between the United States and Canada to the north and Mexico to the south, and the border with the Atlantic Ocean on the east coast, and the Pacific Ocean on the west coast.

The white lines show the borders between 48 of the states. 

This map does not show the state of Alaska which is north of Canada, and the state of Hawaii, which is to the southwest in the Pacific Ocean.
